a sighting of Matt Jones, had a catch for 13 yards. probably his last of the game. let's hope not.

Vanden Bosch also has a sack already.

Antonio Pittman: 3 carries for 6 yards... Brian Leonard: lined up as a runningback twice, no touches yet

Jackson is not doing much better, he had one very nice run (great Leonard block on that play btw.) for 53 yard TD but other than that, he has 14 carries for 21 yards... 1.5 ypc when you subtract a big run.

Chris Cooley just had a huge 39 yard TD catch! he has 5 grabs for 97 yards

Of course Furrey can't say anything. The media will destroy him. They'll say how we was at a small school, undrafted, and played in the AFL, played as a DB for a year, and is lucky enough to be a 4th receiver in the NFL! Of course he led the NFC in receptions, he's a product of the Lions pass only, no run system, and the team had no other receivers then other than Roy Williams. Right?

No, demanding a starting spot would surely end the career of a 'racist' pig-headed, cocky, team cancer Mike Furrey.

Archuleta whiffed an open field tackle on Andre Hall and they've replayed it a couple of times already. The announcers are dissecting what he did wrong. Then they added that Urlacher himself says this is the most inconsistent team he has ever been on, and they must miss more tackles than any other team in the league.

  Long live the Kerneyites!

let's see how Patbacks will respond to that!

there has been 4 blatant drops by Chicago receivers... perfectly thrown balls that they have their hands on bobbled away... meanwhile two of the best pass catcheres in NCAA history, Mike Hass and David Ball are in street clothes...

wow! Scheffler is having a great game! he outrun two defensive backs and made a great 41 yard grab with Archuleta all over him, and then made an improbable, acrobatic, crazy catch for a 14 yard TD!

But

at the same time. Our season is pretty much over.

they deserve to lose, rewarding stone handed receiver with playing time instead of getting Hass and Ball involved. they can't even use Olsen properly, forcing it to Clark, Gilmore and other legends.

i spoke too soon, Olsen dropped one

Ah, Sunday night football, should be exciting to watch Curtis and Welker play at the same time.

Even better, Heath Evans punching it in!Edited by: remark22

Heath Evans just scored a TD!!!

too bad i decided to start Eckel ahead of him on my fantasy team
smiley17.gif
(yeah, i'm trying to keep my RBs as white as i can)

we can say now that all the designed running plays went to white runningbacks for Pats, as Evans TD was the only RB carry of the half for Pats. Brady had a 10 yard scramble.

Madden n' Michaels are complaining about the Patriots lack of a running game. Then in the next breath they talk about the gigantic differential in pass plays versus running plays called by the Patriots.

No running game if you don't hand the ball off. It's not rocket science.

exactly, they used short passes to Welker as their running game all night.

Wes is getting a lot of praise from Madden as a great pass catcher, great blocer and very reliable target. after his big catch and run that went for 42 yards he even said "boy, is he QUICK!"
smiley1.gif
Wes went over 800 yards on the season!

now we only need couple of more passes to Curtis, seems like Greg Lewis is AJ Feeley's favorite target tonight. let's hope it's not a trend

Remember, Madden still believes that you win when you run, not that you run when you win. The running game is going by the wayside in nicer weather.

Feeley's success tonight (on McNabb's 31st birthday) should bode well for a change in the relatively near future at QB in Philly. Kevin Kolb is waiting in the wings.

Tough day for the black QB, Jason Campbell threw away the Redskins season earlier today. Vince Young was horrible. Who's left?

Welker is having career game, getting lots of attention and praise from Madden. career high 12 catches for career high 146 yards!

Madden even said: [cornerback covering Welker] is said to have great quickness, well Welker has greater quickness

Yeah, Madden also said that Tom Brady told him that a lot of times Welker is "too quick".

Welker issaving the day for his team, what a player!! There will be more to come!!

It was good while it lasted. I was hoping Feeley could pull of the comeback and really put McNabbie on the hotseat.

Oh well.

The Pats were lucky to win this game. Welker saved their behinds, he was the man. He made big, clutch plays all night long. Moss doesn't handle muscle very well and was taken out ofhisgame. He was robbed however, by the bogus interference call against him, taking a TD off the board. The Pats defense up the middle was a sieve all evening. Bellichick should have called a lot more running plays to throw the Eagles D out of sync. Don't tell me Evans couldn't have pounded out some yards. Weird game plan. Welker gets my vote for player of the week. Without him the Patriots would be in the locker room crying after their first loss, for sure. It's funny how many times Feeley has come in over the years to replace McNabb and get their passing game humming.

Well if you watched the Vikings game, they may try to say its Tarvaris Jackson...
smiley36.gif

They put up a graphic and had the announcers mention 3 times on the first drive that he is (was) 4-2 as a starter. Anyone who watched any of those games knows they won them all despite him, not because of him and in fact he left at least one of those "wins" before the half with a minor injury. They are now pointing to his last two games in which he completed a high percentage of dink and dunks as signs of improvement. This kid is the worst QB I've seen in a long time at this level, and still they try to convince us that he is good. What a horrible time it is to be a Vikings fan. At least Chad Greenway is showing signs of good things to come.

To put it into perspective. Here is his stat line.

10/12 129 1 0

Take away the poorly thrown 60 yard touchdown. (In which I will give him the fact that he actually looked off a safety for the first time that I can recall)

9/11 69 0 0 (That's 7.7 yards per completion)

Its amazing how a clown like this can be lauded for "just winning" and guys like Dilfer & Grossman are demoted for the same offense. Of course the media needs their black darling to ejaculate over or their bosses may decide they aren't kosher and give them the jackboot.

Jackson made his first professional-quality long throw; expect it to be played relentlessly in Vikings highlights. Of course the fact that the Vikings D shut down Manning and co. (congratulations to Greenaway on the INT TD return) had nothing to do with the win. Jackson gets the credit for not doing anything incredibly stupid.

Lavoris is the worst QB in Vikings history, period.
