As Don said common sense thought Miller would be around a couple more years. CAN't believe He's already been in the league 11 years though! I remember when he was coming out of Virginia, they advertised him as most complete TE in draft and they were right .
It will be interesting to see where Long and Laurinaitis end up. They are instant plug and play type guys. Could help out playoff contenders right away.

Miller was a big target for Ben when he was a young qb. As the years passed Miller became less and less involved in the offense. What they say is true. A TE is a young qb's best friend.
I am surprised the Rams released Laurinitis. I hope he and Long end up in a white friendly roster without a black quarterback. Suddenly the Patriots seem like a good fit. It's possible Howie encourages Chris to consider the Raiders as a destination since they are definitely looking for D line help.

This is probably a pipe dream but I would love to see the Pats sign Long, Laurinitis and Weddle. They all fill immediate needs and would bolster the defense.
Weddle wants to sign with a contender so New England should be at the top of his list. It's hard to believe the Patriots wouldn't want him, but it could depend on their salary cap situation as he won't be a cheap sign.
It's still hard to believe Laurinitis was cut, especially this early in the offseason. Really crappy way to treat him, but not nearly as bad as Weddle was treated by San Diego after being the mainstay of their defense for so many years. If Laurinitis isn't signed elsewhere as a starter that would be even more surprising, but as always this is the Caste NFL we're talking about.

Saw on Twitter a few days ago that Dallas is interested in him as well. Don't know how reliable that is though? I think he's got a few good years left in him anxious to see where he ends up .

Their first acquisition could come as early as Tuesday when free agent linebacker James Laurinaitis is scheduled to visit New Orleans. He is eligible to sign early because of his outright release by St. Louis on Feb. 29. His release freed up nearly $6 million in cap space.
Laurinaitis, 29, could play strongside linebacker in Dennis Allen's 4-3 defense or play inside in a 3-4 scheme.
Though not missing a start since being selected in the second round of the 2009 draft by the St. Louis Rams, Laurinaitis has played hurt the past two seasons and produced below expectations.
"Laurinaitis still has some tread left on his tires," a St. Louis-based source said. "He's not the fastest guy, and not a thumper. But he's smart, productive, durable. He played this past year basically with one arm due to an elbow injury. He was slowed by a nagging foot injury much of 2014. But he hasn't missed a start his entire career. He rarely misses a snap."
Laurinaitis is represented by super agent Tom Condon, who also happens to represent Saints quarterback Drew Brees, the owner of the NFL's No. 1 cap hit of $30 million.
We have been led to believe by all parties -- Saints GM Mickey Loomis, coach Sean Payton and even No. 9 himself -- that a more-cap-friendly deal will be worked out in the foreseeable future that features a lower base salary and a hefty signing bonus pro-rated over the course of the new contract.

The Eagles re-signed Bradford to a somewhat puzzling deal 2 yrs/36 million - it will be interesting to see if they draft a QB to groom and let Bradford play out his contract

In order to develop you have to play. White players with potential are often not given an opportunity to play and develop, unlike black players, who are given every opportunity to play and develop.
Janis has shown enough to be given a major role in the upcoming season. He's produced when given the opportunity.
The Packers have problems at wide receiver. If Janis is not given a fair shot this year it will be due to anti-white racism.

Regarding DeMarco Murray being traded to Tennessee, he averaged a lousy 3.64 yards per carry last year with Philly, the exact same as Antonio Andrews, the undrafted scrub the Titans ended up using at RB after their other running backs were either injured or sucked, including Bishop Sankey and David Cobb. Sankey was the first running back drafted in 2014, while Cobb was drafted in 2015 and both appear to be busts.
During the recent Combine I heard the same whining from various NFL Network "analysts" about how weak the quarterback position is in the NFL, while they never say the same about any other position. As we've discussed, this is actually a golden era for quarterbacks -- in addition to the just retired Peyton Manning, there's Eli Manning, Carson Palmer, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Tony Romo, Andy Dalton, Matt Stafford, Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Blake Bortles, Alex Smith, Ryan Tannehill, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Derek Carr, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, and Kirk Cousins, along with Russell Wilson and Cam Newton. It's an embarrassment of riches.
By contrast, running back is very weak. Few really good ones and a lot of mediocre and terrible ones, and a ridiculous number of injury prone ones. Many defensive backfields are a joke. There's no shortage of woefully over-rated o-line sumos and useless defensive linemen.
The positions Whites are "allowed" to play -- quarterback, offensive line, tight end, linebacker and kicker -- are the most talent-laden positions in the league. The black talent pool is becoming weaker by the year, which makes the Caste System ever more obvious to those who can see and think for themselves.

The Colts have resigned their black TE to an absurd contract - 4 years 29.4 million dollars. He had 16 catches last year.
Let's hope the Colts do a little better in the draft.

Calvin "Megatron" Johnson quietly retired from the Lions today. A great receiver he was also a pretty good guy from all accounts. I would be surprised to see his name on the police blotter in the future. Johnson like Barry Sanders before him, has retired very early (he's 30 yrs. old) and while lots of people are grumping it's because the Lions always suck I think it also has something to do with being physically beat up and filthy rich. It's actually refreshing to see a guy willing to walk away from the fame and money. I wish him the best.

In the bizarro world of the NFL free agency - a ton of overhyped, underproducing black players continue to get hype. For some bizarre reason Adam Jones is being "coveted" by several teams - he is a 33 year old nickel corner/malcontent. The last time he was on the field he was a ring leader in the Bengals defensive collapse vs. the Crawfords in the Playoffs. Yet teams seem willing to welcome these idiots behavior to their team.
Not that it's really a consolation but I feel this draft has a lot of good white olinemen so I am a little more interested than usual in the movement of offensive linemen in free agency.

I have to ask was Fleener's blocking really that bad that he could not supplant afleet Dwayne Allen? I am surprised Luck didn't campaign for his college TE.
I think Fleener would do well as a compliment to Gronk in New England.

Kiko Alonso is a good move for the Dolphins. Buffalo will regret trading him. I know injuries hurt him last year, but I think he will come back and have a good year barring injury.

He has a total of 14 sacks in three years as a starter, and has yet to exceed 45 combined tackles (solos and assists) in a season. He played in a 3-4 with Denver, which holds down tackles and sacks for most ends not named J. J. Watt, but still. . . Jackson's far from a superstar.
But he did make a splashy play in the Super Bowl against Carolina, and that's often all it takes for a black player to gain instant stardom and riches. Recall when Cowboys CB Larry Brown made two interceptions against Neil O'Donnell in Super Bowl 30 and was quickly signed to a mega-deal even though he had done little before that game and even less after.
