I figured Deion Sanders and the NFL Network could have gone a long way in promoting a more interesting show with Deion's Prime U show set to debut this evening on the NFL Network (see below). A powerful demonstration of Deion's expertise in imparting his knowledge of the game to new hopefuls would have been more dramatic if given to less than touted hopeful players. Last time I checked, DB's included safeties, so at the very least, it could have been more interesting to have a couple of players from different skill positions and from different backgrounds receive Deion's tutelage. Instead, the 5 included have little to gain since they already embrace Deion's style of play, and have received every ounce of available training and support to date.

Produced by NFL Films, the 60-minute Under Armour Presents Prime U goes inside Sanders' training camp in Irving, TX for a look at how the legendary cornerback imparts his knowledge of the game and life as a professional football player to the next generation.

"It's not just about training physically, but also developing a healthy spiritual and psychological makeup. With five NFL hopefuls in attendance at Prime U, the program follows defensive backs Darius Butler (Connecticut), Emmanuel Cook (South Carolina), Lendy Holmes (Oklahoma), Captain Munnerlyn (South Carolina), and Lydell Sargeant (Penn State) through the NFL Scouting Combine as they prepare for draft day. Each Prime U participant is outfitted in Under Armour gear to help them perform at their best.
