Ok, I've had it. I'm sick and tired of every national anthem
being sung by a brutha or sista. It's starting to turn my
stomach. Has our collective concious decided that whites can no
longer sing. I watched alot of NFL (Negro fo life) last sunday
and every anthem was sung by you guessed it, a brutha or sista.
Well this example and others are just the canary in the coal mine
indicator as to where this country is headed. Mr. Wizard get me
out of here and turn back the clock to another time and place when
whites were represented in the numbers that a majority should be.
And if some of you shoud fault me for not being Afro centric I don't
care.

Thanks to all the "great" black perforrmances of our national anthem
over the years, the few whites who do perform it now do it in a
completely "black" way. By this, I mean they "jazz" it up by dragging
out most every word, so that it takes them fifteen minutes to sing it.
"The Simpsons" spoofed this wonderfully back when they were a great
show.

The Simpsons has made a couple of funny national anthem parodies. The one that R-man mentioned was hilarious, plus the one where Michael Buffer was on before the boxing match and said: "Due to popular demand, we will forgo our national anthem."

Can't comment on the Buffer episode, not having seen it, but there was the episode where Krusty the Clown *tries* to sing the anthem at a hockey game (after turning down his cue cards) thus: "Ohhhhh say can you SEEEEE ba da DA da da liiiiiight" then forgets the rest of the words and melody.

Most of them destroy the Anthem and they all sound the same. Everyone of them drag out every note to hide their lack of talent - its sickening.
