We are in the middle of spring training. Any one want to help do some positional previews? I was going through the fantasy baseball rankings earlier this week and figured it would be a fun group effort. If you want a position I will sign you up for it like we do for the college football previews.

So, just list the top 3-5 players or would we list every white starter at each position from each team? I'll do the shortstops and help with others if needed.

I was going to just go through the fantast baseball rankings for each position and list out all the White players that look to start or get playing time.

I'll sign you up for shortstop!

@Leonardfan I’ll take 3rd base for now. Maybe more positions later if needed.

@knightedsoldier5000 great job and you’ve set the bar high! My only question, I always assumed Luke Maile was White. He looks so to me. Didn’t ever think he was a Hispanic but maybe he’s part?

Well, this is certainly a more efficient way of doing it than my team write-ups on the old CF front page back in the day! I too love fantasy baseball and could take one or two positions.

If I have some time this week, I'll write up a top-ten of starting pitchers; put me down for that for now and hopefully I'll have time to do another.

Nice write-ups so far! I will try to get second base done tonight.

Should I break up the outfield into LF, CF, RF? Add a DH position preview? Any input is welcome.

Thanks. Feel free to expand on a top 10 for SPs if you want!

Shortstop-

ATL: Orlando Arcia, Luis Guillorme- I miss Swanson now starting for the Cubs
PHI: Trea Turner- All Star and 2021 Batting Champion., Edmundo Sose
MIA: Tim Anderson, Jon Berti. Batted a career high last season .294 and led the league in SB- 2022-41. He will start at 2B?
NYM: Francisco Lindor. Joey Wendle
WSN: CJ Abrams, I. Vargas

MIL: Willy Adames, Brice Turang. Will start at 2B
CHC: Dansby Swanson-Not the best batting average, but is a smooth fielder and hits for power when not injured. Nico Hoerner- will start a 2B.
STL: Maysin Winn-Mixed, I believe? Brandon Crawford. Long time starter for the Giants.
CIN: E. De La Cruz- Matt McClain-Looks to start at 2B.
PIT: Oneil Cruz, L. Pequero

LAD: Mookie Betts- Credit Due. Excellent SS and great hitter. G. Lux- Will start at 2B.
ARI: G, Perdona. E. Rivera.
SDP: H.S. Kim- South Korean, X. Boegarts
SFG: Nick Ahmed, M. Luciano
COL: E. Tovar, Alan Trejo

BAL: Gunnar Henderson-Pretty good rookie season 28 HR's and 82 RBI. Jaxson Holiday will start at 2B, I believe, Jorge Mateo
TBR: J. Caballero, Amed Rosario
TOR: Bo Bichette-Is he mixed or white/black?, Isiah Kiner-Falefa
NYY: Anthony Volpe-Struggled with his BA, but showed promise with his power. Hoping the Yanks stay with him. Oswaldo Cabrera
BOS: Trevor Story- Struggled to stay healthy recently, but a really good SS with power. Led the league in triples, 2020, Pablo Reyes.

MIN: Carlos Correa. Kyle Farmer- Will start at 2B.
DET: Javier Baez, Zach McKinstry
CLE: Bryan Rocchio- Italian descent or mixed?- Tyler Freeman will start at 2B.
CHW: Paul Dejong, Nick Lopez
KCR: Bobby Witt Jr.-After a promising rookie campaign, Witt improved in his sophomore year in every category! Including 30 HR's, 96 RBI's, 49 stolen bases and led the league with 11 triples! Look for even more production in 2024. Only one weakness, needs to get that OBP up.
KCR: backup-Garret Hampson

LAA: Zach Neto, Luis Rengifo
HOU: Jeremy Pena, Mauricio Dubon
TEX: Corey Seager-The reigning WS MVP and named the top Shortstop in MLB. Even though he missed 43 games last season, Seager led the league in doubles, hit 33 homeruns, had 96 RBI and hit .327. I believe he sustained a minor injury in a spring training game. Hopefully he's ready by opening day.
TEX: Backup- Ezequiel Duran
OAK: Darell Hernaiz, Nick Allen.
SEA: JP Crawford, Dylan Moore- May start at 2B?

@Carolina Speed - who are the White short stops? LOL
HAHA! I get it. Yeah, I made comments beside most of the white players and one on Mookie Betts, black, who is a really good hitting shortstop.
Here are the white shortstops I didn't comment on because I don't know much about them or they're average at best.

NYM-Joey Wendle
SFG-Nick Ahmed
DET- Zach McKinstry
CHW-Paul Dejong
KCR-Garret Hampson
LAA-Zach Neto
OAK-Nick Allen

I made broad or brief comments beside all the other white shortstops based on what I know about them. Hope this helps.

The best way is to put the names of the White ones in bold, or alternatively list only the White ones.

So 11 White starting shortstops. That may be the least White position other than maybe one or more of the outfield spots. . .
