Ironman competitions

Do any of you follow these events? They are perhaps the supreme test of all-around fitness and endurance. From what I've seen this is yet another athleticendeavor thatappears totallywhite dominated. Are there any non-whites who compete at the highest levels?

I used to follow triathlon and honestly can't even remember seeing a black man or woman participating much less being on the elite level. Excepting maybe a few Brazilians that some might have classified as black but to my eye weren't. Lance Armstrong was an emerging triathlete when he made the incredibly smart decision to concentrate on cycling. I'm not sure if Armstrong ever did any Ironman triathlons.
