Europe - You beat me to it! I was going to add a Matt Le Tissier goal today
. Le Tissier was one of my favourite players, a one-club man who turned out for Southampton, a small club that I was always partial to. His skills were astounding - too bad that he was essentially ignored by England. I remember a commentator referring to his running style as "somewhat akin to a half-opened Swiss Army knife"...

<div>Jimmy Chitwood - I'm glad that You liked the goals. As I have mentioned before, prior to the great influx of blacks in the late 1990s I was completely football mad. As a kid, I was obsessed with the game, it's history and culture. My father (with whom I never got along) used to angrily berate me: "football, football, bloody football - that's all you are ever interested in! Bloody football!" (he was a cricket man). Of course, that assessment wasn't remotely accurate, but everyone knew me as a "walking football encyclopedia". Anyway, enough about me - let's get back to some classic goals!
 Here are a couple of top-class strikes by Gazza:</div>

PAOLO DI CANIO (Top Five Goals Video):</div>
<div> </div>
<div>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY6Gdx_EZVc&NR=1&feature=fvwp I initially had di Canio's goal for Napoli vs AC Milan in mind, but this compilation also includes his famous strike against Wimbledon in 1999/2000 (which the uploader erroneously lists as against Aston Villa) in addition to his top-hole effort vs Chelsea in 2002/2003. Incidentally, di Canio was never selected for Italy, which is hardly surprising given the traditional Italian preference for reliable "workhorses" as opposed to "volatile" flair players.</div>

EMILIO BUTRAGUENO (Real Madrid) vs Cadiz - 1986/1987, Copa del Rey:</div>

<div>
