I'msurprised to hear that there were actually some there. The "Battle M" flag that you refered to, Electric Slide, came out in 1989 as an "alternative" to the real, and newly un-PC Confederate battle flag. It actually has 17 stars, instead of the 13 of the common Confederate battle flag. Even the "battle M flag" has been replaced by a generic Michigan looking "M flag" for several years now. There are quite a few people who still have and wavethe battle M flags though. I still have one that I bought at the stadium in Oxford in 1996. Stickshave beenillegal in Oxford since the middle of the 1997 season, so as to keep people from waving their C-flags. Nevertheless, I smuggled in a Confederate battle flag (with stick) to games in Oxford from 1998-2003, which is pretty much when I quit going to Ole Miss games. I also took two big ones to the 2003 Egg Bowl in Starkville. At that game we had a ton of good comments about them from whitemen and womenand one bad comment from a sniveling PC limpwristed white male. I never had any comments at allfrom people at the Oxford games, except for one security guard. Considering the overwhelmingblackness of theNew Miss team, it really doesn't make a lot of sense to take the C-flag to games anymore, except that they are still called the Rebels.
