2023 UAB Blazers

From 2005 – 2014, the Blazers started 5, 3, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 2, 7, and 8 white players. They dropped football 2015 – 2016 then resumed operations with 5, 6, 10, 5, 5 and 6 white players. They are projected to start 5 in 2023.


Trent Dilfer comes in as the head coach. Not sure what to make of this move but not really optimistic things will improve. He did bring in several White transfer QBs - Trace Campbell from Ole Miss, Landry Lyddy from La Tech and JUCO transfer Carter Putt. Projections now put the black quarterback in as the starter but he was not an entrenched starter last season.


Players to look out for OT Tennyson Hadfield, LB Charlie Goode, DL Matthew Craig, DB Ike Rowell, DB Skyler Trawick.

As a side note - the Blazers have a White RB on the team by the name of Nick LaRocca. When doing some research on him I discovered that an Italian immigrant by the same name is credited as being a founder of modern jazz - so another lie fed to us gets debunked.

And here is a positive article on Ike Rowell. He seemed to be a dominant athlete in high school (First team all state) but I guess Nick Saban couldn't be bothered recruiting an in state White DB.

I read a lengthy article on ESPN regarding Diler to UAB. He hit transfer portal hard as any other coach. That’s good he brought in a trio of a White QBs.. Saw they already had the former Baylor quota.

Of his 8 commitments now, 2 are White.
