Since 2007, San Jose State has started 6, 3, 6, 6, 6, 7, 10, 9 4, 7, 6, 8, 10, and 8 white athletes. In 2021 they look to drop down to 6.

This team is highlighted by all-star DE Cade Hall. Hall is the son of former 9 year NFL vet DL Rhett Hall. Cade recorded 10 sacks in 2020 in only 7 games. Here’s a list of all of his accolades. These are in addition to being on every watch list you can think of.
  • 2021 2nd Team Preseason All-American (USA Today)
  • 2020 1st Team All-American (Sporting News)
  • 2020 2nd Team All-American (USA Today)
  • 2020 Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year
  • 2020 1st Team All-Mountain West
LB Kyle Harmon is also a really good defensive player in his own right. He was 1st Team All-Mountain West in 2020 as well.

QB Nick Starkel headlines the offense after having a good 2020 season following 3 rocky years at Texas A&M and Arkansas. He was 2nd Team All-Mountain West in 2020 and he is protected by some veteran OL.

Would like to see more depth on this team especially at WR and defense.

Players to watch: TE Billy Bob Humphreys, TE Sam Olson, TE Dominick Mazotti, OL John Weiss, OL Anthony Pardue, OL Scott Breslin, OL Jesse Chamberlain, OL Tyler Ostrom, DL Christian Johnson
