He is the younger brother of current New York Jet safety Jim Leonhard and is one of the top DB's in Wisconsin's 2011 class. He's listed as being 6'0 170 but I can't find any of his measurables. Much like his older brother, Tyler Leonhard is an excellent overall athlete who excels in multiple sports including basketball, baseball and track.
In basketball, he was named a first-team all-conference selection as both a sophomore and junior. In addition, he received first-team all-conference honors in baseball as a sophomore. Finally, Leonhard was a track and field state qualifier in the 200 meter dash and 4x100 meter relay as a junior. He was also a sectional qualifier in the triple jump and 4x400 meter relay.
