Hall of Famer
Hunter Mickelson, class of 2011, is a 4-star "power" forward whoruns the floor very well, is long and agile, has a terrific face-up game, and has yet to touch the talent that he has.
he's already a deft outside shooter, preferring to face up the defense and make a play off the bound rather than post up. fortunately, he's a gifted ball handler on the perimeter for someone his size at 6-10. however, the very-skinny Mickelson weighsin at well-under 200-pounds. this lack of strength will undoubtedly be his biggest obstacle to overcome early on at the collegiate level, butas he grows into his body and gains weight/strength, his already impressive athleticism and agility will be even more visible as he will increase his ability to absorb contact and still make a play.
he has committed to play for Arkansas, and will be the first White scholarship player for the Hogs since Rotnei Clarke and Michael Sanchez signed 3 years ago. below are a couple of dunks he threw down against Trumann a few weeks ago. even in the two very-short clips, you can observe how impressively he runs the floor and creates off the dribble.

another talented in-state big in the class of 2011 is FINALLY getting some notice from Arkansas. 6-11 Hooper Vint from Alma doesn't have the coordination and offensive skill set of Mickelson (although he's averaging over 20 ppg), but he is a much better shot blocker (he blocked 5 shots in his most recent game). a late bloomer from a physical standpoint, Vint's best basketball is waaaaaaaaaay ahead of him, and he'd seem like a good fit for Arkansas since the Hogs are in desperate need of size and post defense.
however, so far the Razorbacks are not one of the nine schools that have offered the Northwest Arkansas post man.
