Martinek had quite the write-up. His numbers are spectacular, and he set a NJ record for being the first player to ever run for over 7,000 yards in his high school career. He's probably the best ball carrier to come out of my home state in over ten years. Hopefully, his college coaches will feel the same way when it comes time to make a decision as to who's getting ball carries. But I have a feeling that he's going to be playing a more "White-suitable" position in college...like fullback.
Ray Van Peenan, a standout runningback at Wayne Hills H.S., is also a top-ranked ball carrier. Hopefully, his career won't be ruined in college either.
According to Scout.com, Joe has committed to Rutgers. Interestingly, they rate him as a two star recruit.
Here is a good article about Joe. It's too bad that Rutgers only thinks of him as a defensive player.
