I think he's White, but I find it odd how he really shot-up in recruiting - and Rivals has him as the 4th-best JC player.

Does anyone have opinions on the DL situation? Of course, our athletes need to make smart college choices and some of them seem to be doing that.

Jordan Chrisman isn't a household name right now in recruiting, but he hopes what he did Sunday at Arkansas' Seniors Camp hchanges that. Chrisman, 6-4, 268, 4.87, is a DE from Blue Springs (Mo.) who has been overlooked in recruiting for some reason to this point. Come inside to find out more about him and his UA connections.

________________________________________________________________________

Now, here's a pretty good write-up of a prospect I already posted (Blake Lueders, Notre Dame commit: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Blake-Lueders-87531)

On the Hoof: A huge and strong-looking athlete that fills up a doorway when he walks into a room. He has that thick football neck that makes him look like one mean player. He has the potential to play at 270 pounds before his career is over. This is a Brian Urlacher-looking kid on the hoof.
Needs improvement: It is not out of the realm of possibility for him to play linebacker, but he most likely will end up with his hand on the ground. This means working on pad level and using his arms and hands versus much bigger lineman. He will also need to develop an assortment of pass-rushing moves rather than using his brute strength and speed to create a consistent pass rush.
Most impressive: Huge, athletic kid that runs extremely well for his size whether blitzing or laterally running sideline to sideline. Lueders understands the importance of wrapping up and running his feet after contact with the ball carrier. He is also a punishing tackler that loves inflicting pain.
Conclusion: It is really going to be hard to keep him from playing early and often. His combination of sheer athleticism and size make him a mismatch for linemen to block. He possibly is the most underrated prospect in the entire nation, partially due to the fact that he is not from a football hotbed.

Thanks for the updates...nice work! Great looking prospects!

No doubt the sucess of NFL players like Jared Allen, VandenBosch, Kerney, Aaron Smith, Justin Smith(DE/T), Kampman(OLB), Schobel, Olshansky (DE/T) have helped....looks like DE & LB refuse to give any moreground...Edited by: TwentyTwo

Linebacker is really on the rise, at least in college. I can't keep track of them anymore!

Here's 3 more DEs..

I think this is a solid thread. Some of these athletes should make an impact, this year and next.

With the success of Ryan Kerrigan, J.J. Watt and others, it would be nice to start seeing more success!
