I was talking to a friend the other day about how white athletes are being overlooked in the div 1a schools, he said it is because the college institutions get federal money for giving scholorships to minority's. Does anyone know if this is true?

I've never heard of that being tied in to sports scholarships. Title IX has generated a lot of publicity because of the way it's negatively affected sports programs for men, but if this is going on in football and other sports it's one of the great suppressed stories of our time.

I've never heard anything about it happening, but that doesn't mean it isn't.
