Slated for it's inagural season in 2009. If you click the "Tour" button, you'll find that Eric Crouch was drafted, in addition to Tre Smith. I'm sure there are many more white players involved but those two names stuck out.
The AAFL also requires that all of it's players hold a 4-year degree before entering the league. An interesting twist, to be sure.
So what do you guys all think? The official site claims that they are not out to compete with the NFL or the NCAA, but to complement them. I believe that a new league will open all sorts of opportunities, if it can be fiscally responsible and survive.
Arena League has carved out a niche, and I think that the AAFL could have similar success. I think it's on it's way claiming not to be trying to compete with the NFL.
