Today (9-5) National Review Online has a piece by Michael Novak, titled "Notre Dame Forever." Novak is a kind of Professional Neocon Catholic. Novak describes Notre Dame as the "immigrants school." He is uncomfortable, he says, that ND is starting the year near the top. "It's an immigrant thing," Novak says. This writer is a big open borders proponent.
