Since 2006, NIU has started 11, 11, 14, 12, 11, 7, 7, 9, 6, 8, 10, 9, 10, 7, 10, and 9 white players. In 2023, the Huskies project to start
Rutkiewicz had six touchdown catches out of the slot last season and is the team's leading returning receiver. The success of his partnership with Rocky Lombardi (former Michigan State starting QB) will determine whether this team is a decent watch. Watch out for the snow plow o-line!
Justin Lynch converted to a full-time running back after starting his college career as a dual-threat quarterback. He could see a few gimmick plays this season. Grayson Barnes is a WR/TE tweener at 6'5 215 lbs who could become a regular red zone target.
