Caught some of the Patriots-Raiders game on the idiot box last
night. It was great to see Tim Dwight used regularly in some of
the Pats' offensive sets. He had a nifty touchdown grab that
showcased his good hands, snaring a bullet pass from Brady at the
goaline.

Dwight also showed his inimitable speed and elusiveness as a kick
returner, with several impressive punt returns. He should
flourish in a system that knows how to maximize its players'
talents. All he needs to do is stay healthy.

Dwight's MNF performance against the 49ers several years ago (when he
was with the pre-Vick Falcons) is still one of the most impressive
single-game performances I've ever watched). I hope he returns to
his old form with the Patriots.

he's the fastest player i've ever seen. he's so much faster than anybody else when running in a line it's crazy. i don't know why more teams didn't run plays for him.

i remember the falcons superbowl when he ran past people like they were standing still.

I almost, almost, enjoy the noticable pauses, the dead air, when Dwight
performs - just like last night. Boring Al and Stuttering John seemed to
blank out for a fraction of second when Dwight snagged the TD pass. His
speed in comparison to other players is ridiculous, which is why many
announcers toe the line and ignore it. Dwight is actually pretty blocky in
person, which makes his get up and go all the more amazing. If he were
anything but White, his awesome Superbowl returns would be replayed
every frickin' weekend on the one eyed bolshevist.

The next time you watch a Patriots game, watch the cornerback covering Dwight. The corners play very deep because they are scared of his speed and don't want to get burned. Even last night TD catch, the CB was almost in the endzone at the snap. A black CB would never live it down if they got beat deep by a "slow" white receiver.

Tim Dwight is a speed demon, and not of just the "special teams demon" variety. He should be in the WR rotation much more often than he is, or even starting.

He should have been starting and featured his entire career. The NFL has really wasted his obvious talent.

My favorite Tim Dwight highlight was in San Diego when LaDamian Tomlinson was running full speed down the sideline. Dwight passed him like he was standing still and made a great downfield block 5 yards ahead of Tomlinson. That moment should have ended the myth of the "slow white guy", but it didn't.

since he's on the patriots now, he'll be making a lot more great plays.

they're one of the few teams that's interested in how good of a player you are.
