Simone is the Italian National Champion and recently took third in the European Cup with a time of 10.15 sec, only 0.09 sec behind the winner. He was second in the 60m at the European Indoor Cup earlier this year. If he consistently performs in the 10.1 range this summer, he could be competitive at the World's in Aug.

but I couldn't resist.This guy has incredible talent.
He also has a big rivalry going with Ronald Pognon of
France for the title of Europes Top Sprinter.I really
like Collio.He has as good a shot as any of the other
white sprinters to get that first sub 10.Maybe he will
bring back memories of the great P.Mennea!

What is interesting is he has made a leap in improvement in his times this season. I think that his PB was 10.29 coming into the year.

Simone ran a 10.22 today in Rome. He finished ahead of former World Champ Kim Collins. He is right up there with the top sprinters in the world. Keep it up Simone.

Collio is looking great through the first half of the
season.If he can just pick it up just a little,he just
could make the finals at the World Championships.What is
exciting is how many young white sprinters are knocking
on the door around the world.It is only a matter of time
before we kick it down.lol.Man,I never knew eating pasta
