With all due respect to her achievements, isn't she
being overrated in an attempt to feminize America. I know she is
good and came in fourth at Indy, but where was the winner? The
winner certainly was not on the cover of SI. There are these
feminists out there, who have never watched a car race, celebrating the
moment.

Yep, I think it is part of an attempt to de-testosterone the US. She's being used as part of an agenda. Notice how they say because of her light weight, she's better suited to racing and 40 pounds lighter than the next lightest driver. The weight issue is legit, but to use it to make women seem superior because of it. Come on.

I'm just glad she's white. The hype has been annoying, but just
imagine if it were a black woman (or black man for that matter.)
Or what if Annika Sorrenstam were black? The only attention
the media gives her is to talk about how little attention she gets
(and when she was playing against men.)

Technically, it is sexist because they're giving her attention that
is disproportionate to her talent. And it's not an athletic sport
that require size, speed, strength, agility, etc., so it's not that
big of a deal that a woman is doing well. But America is all
about who's "under-represented." There's nothing stopping
women from driving race cars, but because there are so few of
them, the media makes it into a big deal. That why some
colleges have affirmative action programs for blacks, hispanics,
and native americans, but not asians. Asians aren't
under-represented, so they don't get any help, despite being a
minority group.

There were female aces in the Soviet airforce during WWII so anyone who says a woman can't drive a race car must be smoking something really special. Still call me when Danica actually WINS a race... until then you don't have a story.

One thing is for sure Danica Patrick was definitely the hottest driver in the Indy 500 race. It was kinda neat to see a woman or this case a girl lead the race. The weight thing is legit as Colonel Reb says and I am like Ta Waki Mumba, call me when she wins a race. If I were betting on a woman being able to win a race it would be her though from what I saw out of her.

My question is what is a 22-25 year old doing marrying a 34 year old doctor? Okay, obiviously the money, but what else?

What else do you need?

In all seriousness though, an 8-10 year age difference isn't that big a deal. I've dated women older than me by six years, and women younger than me by about 14-15 years, and ages in between. If you're compatible and have fun together, who cares? Thats my opinion anyway.
