Since 2012, the UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio) Roadrunners have started 11, 12, 11, 10, 8, 6, 3, 4, 2, 1 and 0 White athletes. In 2023 they continue the 0 White athlete streak heading to fall camp.
They return their black quarterback for his 7th college season for a Group of 5 team. My guess is he will get none of the criticism that Stetson Bennett has endured.
Players to look out for are QB Eddie Lee Marbuger, QB Owen McCown (son of Josh McCown and part of the Colorado transfer exodus), OL/DL Walker Baty (highly decorated HS Defensive end who of course gets transferred to OL in college - a trend we here at Caste Football noticed long ago but to the average DWF they can't or won't pick up on it), OL Luke Lapeze, RB Juston Rodriguez, TE Dan Dishman, WR Kyle Eaves.
