Since 2006, Texas has started 7, 6, 8, 9, 8, 5, 6, 7, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 5, 6, and 4 white players. In 2023 they look to move up to 6.

Texas is usually not very exciting anymore like they used to be about 15 years ago. Very dark roster as usual but it’s nice to see 2 defensive starters this year. Depth is not good across the board.

QB Arch Manning might see the field at some point. DB Michael Taaffe got some starts at Nickel last year but this year he is the backup FS.

OFFENSE
QB Quinn Ewers
LG Hayden Conner
C Jake Majors
RG Cole Hutson *listed as OR*

DEFENSE
DE Ethan Burke
LB Jett Bush

Players to watch:
QB Arch Manning, TE Gunnar Helm, OL Connor Robertson, DE Colton Vasek, LB Marshall Landwehr, FS Michael Taaffe

Made plays “despite limited playing time” lol. He was a beast saturday despite constantly getting held. He even got a sack on a play the sumo tackled him to the ground!

One solution would be give him more playing time? Nah…. Couldn’t do that

Yet even still he never drops his lunch box and his motor never stops running.

Ewers out for 3-4 weeks with a should injury. Perhaps we see Archie Manning in the next couple of weeks.
