Since 2007, San Jose State has started 6, 3, 6, 6, 6, 7, 10, 9, 4, 7, 6, 8, 10, 8 and 6 whites. 6 again.

San Jose State is in a weird predicament recruiting wise by caste standards as the Bay Area is very non-white but most of that is Asians, Indians and some mestizo Latinos. The black population is not very high with the exception of the Oakland area. So as such they depend on the few whites in the suburban bay area plus the whiter populations in rural northern California. When SJSU draws upon the white talent in the bay area and northern California, the teams are usually more tolerable. As Red Raider noted however, this team lacks depth so it's getting back to its darker standards. I would expect the 3-6 range to be back in the future.

Main reason to watch is the two defensive starters DE Cade Hall and LB Kyle Harmon. They are two of the best in the nation at their position, and Hall especially looks like a future NFL player.

SJSU has a Hawaiian and a quota battling at QB and neither look particularly inspiring. This team won't do great.

Lots of Polys on the roster and a few Hispanics. I just used the eye test for the latter.

Offense -
TE - Sam Olson
LT - Fernando Carmona Jr.
C - Anthony Pardue
RG - Ryan Stewart

Defense -
DE - Cade Hall
ILB - Kyle Harmon

Notable back ups include TE Dominick Mazotti, OL Jake Steele and Tyler Ostrom.
