MTSU has had 6, 5, 5, 8, 8, 4, 6, 4, 1, 2, 6, 5, 4, 3, 6 and 5 white starters since 2005. 5 again this year. Main focus of this team is stud safety Reed Blankenship, who should have a shot at the NFL. After this season, he also has a chance to retire as MTSU's all time tackles leader. Bizarrely, starting QB Asher O'Ratha, also the team's leading rusher, transferred down to FCS Sacramento State. In his place is little used back up Chase Cunningham. Buried third on the depth chart is former FSU/NC State QB Bailey Hockman. Hopefully he finds his way to some playing time, otherwise, let this be used as a lesson to young QBs.

Offense -
QB - Chase Cunningham
HB/TE - Will Gilchrist
LT - Steven Losoya

Defense -
LB - Drew Francis (only a FR)
FS - Reed Blankenship

Two-deep back ups include QB Mike DiLiello, HB/TE Joseph Sewell, C Marcus Greer, RG Conner Griffin and ILB Cody Smith.

Blankenship should certainly be in the NFL draft conversation. He was getting alot of positive buzz last year prior to returning. Let's hope for a health, productive year for him. Asher O'Hara transferring stinks - he was a very gifted dual threat. I will certainly be following his season at Sacramento St.
