Since 2005, the Cowboys have started 15, 17, 14, 16, 15, 13, 14, 12, 11, and 13 whites. Look for them to dip a little this year to 11. The racial makeup of the team will be similar to prior years with the Offense making up a bulk of the white starters.
The team will be quarterbacked by Senior Cameron Coffman, a transfer from the University of Indiana who sat out 2014.
What is most exciting about this team is their receiving core. Aside from being an all white starting group of Maulhardt, Gentry and Hollister, the WR backups are white as well, Tommy Thornton and Tanner Simpson. The lone black receiver presently listed on the Cowboys depth chart is a Freshman TE. Hopefully this group can put up some big numbers this year.
