Here are your white starters for Terry Bowden and the Zips this year. Just mentioning that name should tell you all you need to know about how many white starters this team will have. Since 2005, Akron has started 10, 9, 9, 8, 7, 9, 8, and 8 white starters. This year, Bowden will take the team to new lows, reaching just 5 white starters for the upcoming campaign. Its 7 if you’ll count the rarely used FB Christian Allen and TE Jon Root (the Zips run a 4 WR spread). Some white backups to look for are: QB Nick Hirschman, RB Conor Hundley, WR Andrew Pratt, TE Anthony Ritossa, RT Joe Petrides, SLB Dylan Evans, MLB Nick Rossi, and CB Seth Cunningham. Expect teams like Kent State, Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Ohio to demolish these guys this year.

QB- Kyle Pohl
FB- Christian Allen
WR- Zach D’Orazio
TE- Jon Root
LG- Dylan Brumbaugh
C-Travis Switzer

Defense
DT- Nico Caponi

Though he is not slated to play until next year incoming grayshirt , Anthony Lauro has a great chance to get some time at rb or even wide receiver. He is almost as explosive as North Carolina's Ryan Switzer. Also Akron signed 3 white db's this year and two of them are twins. Their names escape me however.
Andrew Pratt is said to have sprinter's speed to go along with his 6'5" frame. He did average almost 16 yards last year per catch on twn I believe.
