Hypothetical matchups are very popular on many boxing sites,
chiefly because it gives the DWF's a chance to hallcinate about some "great" from the past [read non-white] beating one of the Klitschkos or any of the modern day white fighters.

and it's also a good opportunity for moderators to delete most of the pro-white comments, giving a false impression of how people feel about today's fighters.

so, I thought i would put up a matchup between a prime Larry Holmes and Waldimir Klitschko, and see "who" non-brainwashed boxing fans think would win, or better yet! how fast would Wald demolish the overmatched Holmes.

so, how you guys see this fight going???

Holmes would have a decent chance of beating Wlad pre Brewster fight. Post Brewster fight not a chance. Vitali would beat down Holmes but Larry would win some rds. Larry was a good fighter that blks as well DWFs detested, mainly due to him coming after "not the greatest" Ali.

Gerry Cooney could have and should have beaten Holmes that night in '82.  He didn't fight his fight.  He tried to pace himself instead of going for the KO like he always did before.  Plus he had only fought two rounds in two years.

Cooney-Wlad would have been dynamite.  But really I don't think anyone in history was even in the same league as the Klitschkos. They have become so great that they not only win every fight but they win every round and they don't even get their hair mussed doing it.

Carl "the truth" Williams outboxed Holmes in 1985, yet they gave Holmes the decision. Prime Wlad would turn prime Holmes's face into hamburger.
