Tyler Hansbrough now leaves North Carolina a LEGEND. Heading to the NBA now, these are some players I can compare Psycho-T to, though not the best to compare to:

Luis Scola
David Lee
Elton Brand
Al Jefferson
David West
Anderson Varejao
Chris Kaman

I compared Tyler to these players based on their hustle on both ends, and the mid-range they all possess offensively. Each is are also quite crafty and explosive down low, just like Hansbrough.

Paul Milsapp and Luis Scola would be my comparisons to Hansbrough. Both are having good NBA careers, Scola is a starter and when Booozer leaves next year in free agency, Milsapp will probably be a starter. Hansbrough has a game similar to those guys except I think Hansbrough is stronger but maybe not quite as quick as Milsapp or refined in his post moves as Scola.

Those are great comparisons Guest. For J41181's I would agree with them except for Al Jefferson and Kaman b/c those guys have much more length, even though I see what you mean about some similarities in their inside game.

I think Hansbrough is going to surprise people with how he tests out athletically in Orlando. Expect a max vertical test around 35 or 36 inches and a 3/4 court sprint in the Michael Beasley/Kevin Love range. But don't expect how he tests to change his draft prognosis much due to his melanin deficiency.

One player who has caught my attention to compare Hansbrough to is the Mavericks' Brandon Bass. Hansbrough's game looks very similar to him, considering they are also the same age (Hansbrough is 23, Bass is 23). Bass has a high energy game of both ends (offense, defense), and a mid-range game that Hansbrough also has. I can see Tyler becoming a really solid player in the NBA.

Tyler Hansbrough just had an impressive debut:

13 point (3-7FG's, 7-10 FT's)
5 rebounds
1 assist

He saw just 13 minutes of action as the Pacers demolished the Wizards 102-86. Psycho-T has arrived, baby!

I saw some highlights and he looked good. His game WILL translate to the NBA. Psycho-T is a great nickname for him as he is a beast! Take that ESPN and CaucasianRivals.com!

Way to go Psycho T.Hansborough! All of the fans around the nba will know who you are before too long. I just want to see him get into basketball shape again as far as his conditioning. Then an all out assault on making the starting 5. Then within a couple of years I'm hoping for his first all star game. I know I'm getting way too excited for this early but I love this kid!

Great to hear Hansborough is now healthy.  I hope he can be a success and get lots of minutes unlike Josh McRoberts.  I still have my hopes up for McRoberts though.

You beat me to it Blue Devils. Great team by the way for your avatar. I have always loved Duke as they are very white friendly and they kick ass in b-ball.

Tyler is as Dicky V says, a stat sheet stuffer. He is such a high energy guy. You know when he is on the floor because he makes an immediate impact. Offense or defense, Tyler brings so much energy. I love this kid. A future all star for sure!

Hansborough struggled in his shooting last night going 3 for 12.  8 rebounds in only 16 minutes of play is very impressive though.  I think by January he will be in full form and putting up good numbers.

I agree. In limited minutes for two games, Tyler has shown he is an impact player at the NBA level, whether it's rebounds, shot attempts or fouls committed. When he's in the game he's in the action and he will mix it up with any afflete on the floor. He doesn't have finesse, but he's not a blue collar stiff. He's powerful and agressive, but certainly has more skill than a Dwight Howard. I'm very excited to watch his pro career.

He doesn't have the mentality that he has to take a back seat to the brothers on the floor.Edited by: icsept

Tyler just had 7 points this time, but Indiana whooped Boston big-time, 113-104. Dream on Rasheed, no way Boston will break 72-10, no way!

I think Jerry Sloan wants AK-47 to be another Manu Ginobili, as in the team's 6th man. As far as I know, AK seems OK with that. AK has actually played brilliant as a starter. IMO, Brewer starts because they need "athleticism."

Nice game by Tyler Hansbrough today, shame the Pacers lost the Knicks, 110-103:

14 points (5-10 FG's, 4-7 FT's)
5 rebounds
3 assists
1 block

He really needs to get his shooting percentage up. Right now he is at 35 % from the floor and that is especially low considering he is a forward.

Your right about that WA33! However, he is a beast at drawing fouls- so his points per attempt is somehow still pretty good right now. He's also a great rebounder and hustle player. I think he might find a Paul Millsap type nitch in the league. Right now he is perfectly suited to be a 6th or 7th man for the Pacers. He brings amazing energy off the bench!

Tyler scored a career high 21 points tonight in a big win for the Pacers. Dunleavy Jr. and Murphy also played very well. This is a fun team to watch. Very impressed with the range on Tylers shot. He can hit the outside shot from all over the floor and he can also create off the dribble very nicely. Keep it up Tyler!

That's weird because few athletes in the NBA are more athletic than AK47.

Tyler Hansbrough is starting to get rolling, and Danny Granger's injury may have been a huge break for him. Minutes will remain around 20-25 for him (injury precaution), but his role has just been expanded. There is no doubt in my mind Psycho-T will become an All-Star level player.

19 points (7-14 FG's, 5-6 FT's)
3 rebounds
1 steal
