this is the aftermath of the story i posted here: http://www.castefootball.us/forums/...sive-club-ever?p=245599&viewfull=1#post245599

that's one of the most violent aggression i ever saw
zokora needs to be suspended (actually he shouldn't be playing soccer in the first place)
emre insulted him, but he was punished for that (2 matches ban), and you can answer to an insult with another insult, but not by physically harming the other player

and by the way, yellow card for that? is that a joke?

eventually, emre's club won the match

Very dangerous tackle and it also looked intentional…should have definitely resulted in a red card.
Here is a video showing all the major flashpoints - at least four players could have been sent off (and it seems as if some matches in Turkey need military presence in order for security to be guaranteed).

I have to say that Emre Belozoglu (the guy who was on the receiving end of the tackle) has also demonstrated a lack of sportsmanship on a number of occasions. He was involved in these unsavory scenes 7 years ago (Swiss footballers were attacked by their Turkish colleagues in the aftermath of a 2006 World Cup qualification match):

Alpay Ozalan (Turkey) and Benjamin Huggel (Switzerland) were subsequently banned for six games by UEFA, while Emre received a four-match ban.

However, there is no way Emre deserved that and good to see that he didn’t appear to be seriously injured.
