Paul Posluszny, Paul Worrilow, or Harrison Smith next year. That is, assuming Kuechly or Watt doesn't win it again.

This was quite a shocker for me. I thought for sure they would rob Kuechly like they did Clay Matthews. This was a close race, and while Kuechly was the most deserving, this was no Watt 2012 contest.

Would like to see Jared Allen win it next year playing for the Pats, 24 sacks, breaks the record, helps them win a SB. The man had 22 sacks playing for a bad team that never had the lead, imagine what he could do playing for a team that can have their opponent playing catchup in the first half.

    Congrats indeed!

With Watt, Kuechly and a healthy Clay Matthews we have a decent shot at DPOTY each season for years to come.

I perused some sites which discussed Kuechly winning the defensive player of the year award.

Not surprisingly, the consensus was that he didn't deserve it. Various black players were promoted as being better. The attitude was that not only were these black athletes better they were much better than Kuechly, which is nonsense.

Some posters suggested he won because he was white.

Anti-white male bigotry is alive and well in the world of football fandom.

Kuechly was deserving of the award. He almost singlehandedly turned the Carolina defense around.

Well obviously since blacks are far better than Whites at everything the only reason a White man would ever win anything is because of favoritism. The only reason there are ANY whites in sports at all is because of RACISM.

Its surprising how many of our own people believe this. Just about all blacks think that way.

The vast majority of DWFs have no idea who Luke Kuechly is. They have never heard of him. Ask around. Crickets. Amazing. They do know who Clay Matthews is, and the have heard tale of an outlier named Watt, but Kuechly doesn't register on their radar at all.

This is exactly how they think and it's about everything. In their diseased minds no white man has ever earned anything or accomplished anything. Everything they have or have done is somehow the result of racism and the oppression of non-whites and white women.

This belief is utterly ridiculous but that's what the anti-white male bigots believe. They've never thought about the ludicrousness of their beliefs because they don't think at all. Instead they believe anti-white male propaganda and they feel. They're deranged and evil.

Kuechly is still out with a concussion. It may have been a severe one.

Let's hope he recovers 100% and it doesn't happen again.

I had hoped it was not severe, but three games indicate a bad one. Also from replays it looked like like it might have injuried his neck. Has anyone heard anything to that effect?

Kuechly is back playing so he seems to be alright.

The Panthers are undefeated and Kuechly is one of the main reasons, though Cam Newton gets all the credit.

Kuechly is one of the very best defensive players in the league. So far in his career he's played at a Hall of Fame level.

The anti-whites try to make out that white men aren't athletic but players such as Luke Kuechly easily disprove this lie.

Huge man crush on Kuechly. I just loathe the overrated hyped up afleet sCam and his goofy smile. He gets the mvp nomination for average play while LK is the heart of their defense. sCam will come crashing down to earth soon enough.

The mainstream media is now promoting the idea that Kuechly should retire because of a second concussion. They're quick to find reasons to get rid of white players. They have an agenda to ethnically cleanse white people from football.

Is his career good enough for the hall of fame? He has head and shoulders been the best MLB in the league since 2013

That really sucks. The constant pounding on the head and body of an NFL middle linebacker must really take its toll, especially the intense tackling machine that is Luke. What a huge letdown. He has been such a unique, incredible player. Truly an all-time great, up there with Dick Butkus. Now we need some new young players to replace him.

Bingo. This is the new reality and it appears that "injury" issues forcing early retirements seem to affect the white stars more than the black players. At least that is the feeling I get. Think of the major NFL stars who recently bolted like Gronkowski and of course Andrew Luck. In their cases it was their wear and tear problems. Kuechly however is a year or two younger than them and it didn't seem he had any major injuries this season.

We saw a white Oklahoma junior TE who had pro prospects hang it up already which gives us a clue to the problems surrounding head injuries.

We have to rearrange the way we look at head injuries going forward especially with white players. Which isn't to say throw up your hands in defeat if a white player suffers a concussion. But from now on tough as it is to swallow any head injury to a player we root for can ultimately finish off a career especially when you see multiple head injuries.

I don't think injuries affect White players more, they're just more likely to retire earlier now. Why? Because of the money they make. Stars can banks tens of millions before the age of 30 if they have money sense, while others like Gronk (and Kuechly) had substantial additional income from corporate endorsements. I hate to see Luke retire, but just as with Andrew Luck at the beginning of the season, this is likely to happen more often now. Retire in your late 20s or early 30s set for life financially without worrying about any more football injuries hampering your middle and old age and map out the rest of your life from there.

That was what I was trying to "awkwardly" express.

The money issue is likely another factor although that wouldn't be the case of the Oklahoma TE bolting or WR Ryan Swope never playing a down in the NFL.

We are going to have to learn to live with this new troubling reality. Which is why I get so upset when I see black defenders skull shot white players.

A cerebral guy like Kuechly probably was feeling the effects of playing 7 years in the NFL and 3 or 4 years of major college football, plus high school and pee wee ball. He's too intelligent to risk his health for money that won't change his life if he has banked anything close what it's speculated that he has grossed over the years with his known salary and endorsements and appearance fees.

Football IMO is only marginally safer than boxing and MMA and in some ways is more dangerous as a 300 pound lineman can bear down on a 180 pound defensive back in boxing and MMA that weight disparity will never happen.

If he wants to he will make an excellent coach and if he has the personality for it an excellent commentator.
