Since 2005, the Hokies have started 5, 5, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 7, 7,8, 7, 5, 6 and 5. In 2019 they look to start 5 again.

QB Ryan Willis showed some promise last year and should have a nice year as the clear cut starter this year, one of his backups is former Oregon QB Braxton Burmeister. TE Dalton Keene is a solid athlete and will likely be drafted whenever he's done at VT. LB Dax Hollifield slimmed down in the offseason and should be a better more athletic version of himself from last year (8 TFL). DT Jarrod Hewitt returns and LB Dylan Rivers who got a lot of playing time last year should also see a lot of time this year. Only 1 white starter on the offensive line but the depth is very promising there and they should have at least 3-4 white starting o-linemen in a year or two. RB Cole Beck should see the field this year in some form or fashion but he is buried on the RB depth chart.
