Nall playing well into the third quarter. Laird does not have as many carries as the two RBs he is competing with. Hopefully they somehow survive the cuts.

I’ve been keeping up with the stats on all running backs.....
Laird with below average numbers, Gaskins with better numbers....
Hopefully they judge based on the whole month, not just this game....

AJO with some garbage time carries....
Zenner’s replacements stinking the place up....
Nall is too good to cut...!!

David Sills finally with a few catches and a touchdown. I doubt he makes the roster but I expect him to make a practice squad.

Cody Hollister is leading receiver for the Titans while Thomas Ives is leading for the Bears. I would expect practice squad is also best case for these guys.

Another fringe receiver is Chad Hansen of the Houston Texans. He’s also leading his team in yards tonight. Another good effort but more too little, too late?

On the defensive side, GB linebacker Ty Summers had a 74 yard interception for a touchdown. He’s been having a great preseason and it would be one of the biggest travesties if he doesn’t make the cut.

After this tonight and his play all throughout the preseason and camp, I think in a normal NFL, the question is does he start alongside Blake Martinez week one? If the packers dont pick up a linebacker off the scrap heap, I think Summers has to be the favorite !

But one has unlimited upside and the other has tight hips. One brings his lunch pail to work and the other has dat wrist flick.....

Seriously, Kizer has been one of the biggest QB busts of the last decade. He’s Geno Smiff levels of bad.

LB Ben Burr-Kirven is another good one. 12 total tackles (2 for a loss), a sack and a pass defensed.

Gunner Olszewski played CB a lot last night for the Pats! Definitely the first white CB in a while in the NFL, he recorded 23 offensive snaps, 29 defensive snaps, and 16 special teams snaps as the kick and punt returner last night in addition to coverage teams. This guy is too versatile to cut! He also had a play last night where he threw 2 big blocks for Jarrett Stidham on the same play.

Olszewlski seems to be the heir apparent to Edelman. I could be wrong and they could cut him though. He seems to have made more of an impact than berrios and any other receiver outside of Myers. I would rather he make the team as a DB than a WR just because white DBs are so rare in the NFL. The patriots blindness towards Josh gordon and his off the field antics as well as the signing over the declining Deymarious Thomas doesn’t bode well. They have a 1st round wr and the Myers kid who has had a good preseason.

Laird with below average numbers

Laird had 6 carries for 13 yards. But overall his numbers were fine. He had one catch for 15 yards so 7 touches for 28 total yards. And that is the key with this Rex Burkhead clone. He has the versatility to help an offense not to mention his special teams chops.

If Miami doesn't keep him on the roster then you have to figure this is another caste entrenched "clueless" team. And they will snuggle up nicely as a bottom dwelling team for years to come.

Watch every touch from Cardinals rookie QB Kyler Murray in the preseason Week 3 matchup against the ...

I'm not impressed by Marray. He's just too small and I don't think he protects the ball well and he will be hurt soon enough once the season begins and he does too much running. I'm very sure the league quietly forced Murray on the Cardinals just as a publicity stunt to have the #1 pick be a black QB..

Right on. Add swift HB Dan Vitale and deep threat TE Sternberger, who caught a TD last night, to the roster to go along with some returning key players maybe there is hope for the Pack yet despite their GM. Below is the sensational interception by Summers who demonstrates top flight athleticism which is a common thread among the terrific white defensive players who were drafted this year.

After his performance HC Carroll talked him up. I think this outing by BBK, who should be nicknamed tackling machine, put him over the top for the 53 man roster where he will join fellow rookie stud LB Cody Barton.

It was a nice play, although I felt bad for Kyle Shurmer who is trying to stick in the Chiefs roster. Pick wasn't his fault, he got whacked just as he was about to throw the ball. Speaking of Shurmer, he played very well this preseason so he most likely will be the 3rd QB sending Chase Litton to the waiver wire, maybe practice squad.

Giants QB Daniel Jones, the "worst draft pick in the NFL history" according to some might just be the most impressive rookie QB we have seen since when? A decade plus? I had a big board back when and it is on record here at CF that Jones was my top QB pick for the draft edging out Haskins. When I said it Jones was considered an on the bubble first/second round draft pick.

But he has shown glimpses of something beyond being a solid NFL QB. The sky just might be the limit for Jones.

If Eli messes up for a game or two the wolves will be out calling for Jones.

I mentioned Jones on page 7 of the 2019 NFL Draft thread. Also noticed Red raider listed Jones as his favorite QB of the draft. Lets start our own scouting service. Ha.

With black quarterbacks filling rosters as part of the push to eliminate white QBs - mediocre scrubs like Joe Webb, Deshone Kizer, Phillip Walker, Tyree Jackson, Josh Johnson, Geno Smiff, Josh Dobbs

Below are some young QBs who performed well this preseason. Not the guys who will more than likely be the backups but those who are currently somewhere between 2nd/3rd string and the practice squad. Hopefully we see a few of these guys displace some of the above super affletes over the course of the next day.

1. Kyle Sloter - was a sought after UDFA a few years ago - Minnesota won the bidding war on him and he has developed nicely. Perhaps a potential development QB turned starter down the road?
2. Tim Boyle - easily outperformed and should be the back up QB for the Packers
3. Taylor Heinicke - cut by Panthers - Is a solid back up option IMO.
4. Jake Dolegala - had some predraft buzz as a small school player. Performed well during the preseason.
5. Trace McSorely - fringe roster guy as of now. Ravens seem to want him to be a Taysom Hill type - not the worst thing in the world. With the blank canvas and the gremlin in front of him he may actually start a few games this year
6. Logan Woodside - did most of his damage against 2nd/3rd teams but was still efficient and performed well.
7. Kyle Lauletta - 4th round pick in 2018 - played well during preseason.

Mason Rudolph won the number two job behind Big Ben, rightfully so as he's significantly better than Dobbs but Tomlin is infatuated with Dobbs. It's possible Dobbs will be cut but I'll be very surprised if that happens.
