Since 2005 Fresno State has started 7, 9, 7, 8, 10, 12, 12, 6, 7, 5, 7 and 7 Whites. In 2017 they are projected to start 4 white players.

Over the past few seasons we can easily see a downward trend for Fresno State. Gone are the days of Pat Hill and success for this school. This is a pretty pathetic team in terms of overall racial makeup - lots of blacks, mulattos, polys. Their two QBs are minorities and they even manage to have a black punter. Some players to look out for include TE Jared Rice LT Ryan Popolizio, LB Trent Soechting, S Justin Rice.

Pathetic and racially-biased for sure. At least a White DT just committed to them in their 2018 class.

I thought big back, Josh Hokit, ( moved over from LB last year ) was penciled in as the starter at rb?

I posted on Hokit last year and upon review he might be like a quarter mixed.

Looking at Hokit it looks more likely that he is probably half-Hispanic. Given the location of Fresno State and that he's from nearby Clovis it's pretty like his dad is white and mom is mestiza, pretty common in the central valley and southern california. A shame that Justin Rice is listed as a safety, he was a standout RB and I believe that's what he was initially brought into play.

Good news! Fresno State released an updated depth chart this morning, and RB Josh Hokit, SS Justin Rice, and WILL LB George Helmuth are all starters! Bump them up to 7!
