A couple of important games in the MAC tonight. I wasn't able to watch either one of them, but the outcomes weren't ideal. I don't know what has happened to Ohio, but their season is pretty much over. Getting blown out by an above average Bowling Green team is not the way to impress any bowl representatives. They've only managed to put up 3 total points over their last 8 quarters of football. The running games is stonewalled. In an equally disappointing showing, previously division-leading Buffalo got beat by afflete-laden Toledo. Alex Neutz did come up with a great game, though. Eight catches for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns. Although one of the better large receivers in the country, Neutz can't seem to crack any draft lists of "scouting experts". Tomorrow night is the Game of the Year in the MAC. Undefeated Northern Illinois faces off against 9-1 Ball State. The two best quarterbacks in the MAC in head to head competition. NIU's defense has struggled with the coaching change this year. I'm predicting an upset. Wenning will light up the poor NIU secondary and Ball State will go on to win the MAC.
