I keep tabs on some smaller MMA promotion fights every now & then. Fyi, here's some fights/results of note from Tachi Palace Fights 3 ("Champions Collide") in Lemoore, CA on 02/04...

- Rowdy Roddy Piper's son (Colt Toombs) lost via decision.

- Former WEC fighter & UFC TUF 5 competitor Gabe Ruediger beat "afflete" Dominique Robinson via sub (RNC) in round 2

. He has 5 straight victories.
- White fighter Michael McDonald TKO'd former WEC fighter Manny Tapia (Mexican).

Gabe Ruediger was that pathetic guy on TUF a few years back who whined, complained and quit on the show after he couldn't make weight. If he has actually won five straight fights then maybe he has turned his life around and maybe he will be back in the UFC someday.

G301, Gabe said that he leveraged UFC TUF for fame/exposure and not to take everything on the show as to heart. I don't know if that's legit, but he's had some success.

I remember BJ Penn mocking Gabe's whinning why cutting weight (in the sauna)...how Gabe was acting as if he was on his death bed. That was pretty funny!

Also Hulk Hogan's nephew Dave Bollea won his second fight and is now 2-0. Colt Tooms is only 20 so he has a long career ahead of him. he was 4-0 as anamateur and he trains with team quest in oregon.
