I think we know the score, and that's why I only clicked on a dozen afflete profiles. This "story" needs to be told, though. Most of today's DTs are awful, and that's why even the NFL is full of "no-name" - unimpressive DTs.

So many "specimens" - be they black, Poly, Latino, TannedEveryman. Just mind-blowing measurables, almost "freakish"..
I could write endlessly how so-and-so is almost certainly overrated, and they have a bunch more scholie offers because of their skin color. That is all true, and all one has to do is click on a few profiles and see the college attention that's being received. One can also look at the stats when they are given.

He has some muscle, but is not freakish (muscle-wise) at all. The '09 stats of 49 tackles and 7 sacks isn't special, either. College OLs are also much bigger than high school lines, and they have greater arm-length too.

91 tackles in 15 games ain't bad per se, but it only averages out to 6-tackles per game. Only 5 sacks for this smaller lineman as well. This kind of "productivity" isn't something that hordes of White linemen couldn't achieve. Those White linemen would have less offers, and probably be forced to play offensive guard in college. That's the key.
