...Hello folks, heres adefinite "hidden gem", truly a Todd Reesing/Chase Daniel/Doug Flutielike QB...and imo, simply the best 6' and under hs qb in the entire nation (in any classification)...

Dano Graves 5'10 175

...first; his stats are border line mind boggling: 75.2% completion, 3882 passing yds in only 326 attempts...52 passing TDs against only 8 INTs...822 rush yds & 7.3 ypc & 14 TDs...and in only 12 gms...and this past yr (his jr yr) was his first yr at qb on varsity...not due to lack of ability, but his older brother was the star qb when Dano was a frosh & soph (older bro is at hawaii on full scholarship as a qb)...as a soph, Dano was a varsity starter at both wr/slot and safety (and did well at both)

...some thingsto consider while viewing this stud qb and his mind numbing jr production...first; he's known for his intense work ethic/film study, so being last yr was his first as a varsity starting QB, he stands to make solid improvement from last yr to his upcoming Sr yr...second; his level of competition is close to "as good as it gets", as he plays in northern californias largest classification (D1 - 2500 + enrollments)...and finally, despite his obvious lack of size/blinding speed; his arm strength, mechanics, accuracy, pocket presence, decision making and pure intangibles as a passing qb are FBS impressive imo(assuming he continues to progress)...ya'll will see when you view his film, the kid throws all over the field, not simply "dink and dunk, with much of his passing in the pocket...and his ability to throw on the run is also impressive; particularly when he's rolling left since hes right handed.

One last note about Danos FBS potential as a "passing" QB- heres a related "fact"...in the last two yrs in FBS football there have been at least 13 6' even, or under, starting QBs (NOT including the Academies and Georgia Tech that run wishbone/QB rush option type offense and often employee small QBs)...and 7 of the 13 are listed UNDER 6' (5'10" or 5' 11")...and 4 of these sub 6 footers were absolutely super(all conference):

Oregon: Masoli
KU: Reesing
NC State: Wilson
Middle Tenn St: Dasher

Without further adieu, I give you Mr. Graves ("Book'em Dano")

Iwill soon be postinghighlights of Graves' teammate, Tyler Trosin(another under recruited, overly talented white kid)...who is much like the already mentioned/posted Garrett Harper from Ark...but imo, Trosin might possess the higher end FBS potential of the two - at least as aWRor Safety(better hands and more aggressive, but abit less speed/hip swivelthan Harper - not a knock on Harper as I dig his ability as well...Harper perhaps the better CB/Slot while Trosin at WR/Safety)

Welcome to the boards wicked! Looks like you've found some future "hidden" gems indeed. I for one do not buy into the "too short" for quarterback bias one bit. Obviously it helps, but a small quarterback with a quick release, strong arm and mobility can be jsut as successful.
