Despite the ethnicity of the Minnesota football
team, the Vikings were European. The Norsemen are criticized for
not being civilized, but in reality their lifestyle can be viewed as
superior in many ways. These people left behind on of the
greatest legacies of all peoples.

The naval people were not just savage
barbarians. They were practicioners of a lifestyle based on
virtue and morals. They had writing despite popular belief in the
form of rune stones, but also relied on oral tradition to maintain
their history and lessons through sagas. Rather than dismiss
stories of toughness as children's tales, they decided to build their
legacy around them. They tended to believe that "civilized"
society was corrupt and beaurocracy had no substance or purpose.

The Vikings were not savage animals; they had a
unique meaning of life that few people have, but many could benefit
from.

Stay tuned for more detailed info.

Well, the Vikings were the last and the most highly visible practicioners of Ancient Traditional Germanic culture, relatively unshaped by the Roman church. The broad outlines of their culture were likely identical to the Germanics, as well as the Celts and Slavs, who are the ancestors of most American white people. However, one must take care to remember that Scandinavia WAS quickly being reshaped by alien influences at this time. And as Stephen McNallen puts it, the behavior of a Viking raider does not nessecarily reflect the baseline Germanic culture, anymore than that of a sailor in a foriegn port reflects the behavior patterns of his native Nebraska.

Norway and Iceland are probably two of the most peaceful countries on the planet ever.
