Does anyone have some good results to report from the Millrose games held at MSG,as in white sprint results. I watched some of it and all I saw was black so I turned it off.

I will check into it a little deeper but to my knowledge
there were either few or no white sprinters invited
there.Around the globe,Shirvo qualified for the final in
a race in Aust. but pulled a muscle and could not run in
the final.Morne Nagel finished 4th in Europe in a 60
meter race but ran a very fast 6.60.Nic Macrozonaris of
Canada won his race up north.Daniel Batman of Australia
came in 3rd in his race and ran the fastest 200 meters
of his career.Daniel is now already qualified for the 100
and 200 meters in the World Championships this summer.
Nick Smith & Craig Pickering of England had the weekend
off.I will post a few more results as I get them. The
Indoor World Championships are coming up next month and
later this year are the Outdoor World Champs. It will
start getting really good as we get to May,June and
beyond.Watch these college guys too.Dusty Stamer or
Nebraska,John Wood of Colorado State,Drew Morano of
Colorado State,Steve Koehnemann of ASU,and Matt Bruno
of UCLA.Let's root these guys on.

It's damn near impossible for white sprinters, at the moment, to be
invited to 'name' invitationals in the US. Jeremy Wariner of course is the
exception, but in his event (the 400), 6 of the 10 fastest times in the US
the last two years have been from white guys. But Steele, Potter, Rock etc.
don't have promoters or sponsers beating a path to their doors. And Rock
has an Oly Gold from last Summer's 4 x 400, just like Wariner.

It's not like track meets are sold out.Don't they realize
that having some more elite white sprinter might just
bring a few more new fans in.They need to do things to
promote the sport better.Blacks are the majority of
people who participate and watch it in this country. We
need to change that on a broader scale.Over in Europe,
they worship track and field.I would love to see that
happen in america.I really want to see Steele,Potter,
Rock, and Wariner continue on their success this year!
Keep the pressure on these guys to invite these kids to
the big meets.

The sport is popular in Europe, but nowhere near as popular as it used to
be. Soccer has had a lot to do with it. The sport, always very popular
there, erupted to new heights in the mid-80's, and track hasn't recovered
- this is one reason we don't see near as many fast Europeans in the
sprints, middle and long distance events. In GB, the numbers of kids
actively participating in the National Cross Country Champs is 10% of
what it was 20 years ago! This is why you aren't seeing any more Crams,
Ovetts, Coes, Elliots etc. from there. It's similar all over Europe. This (not
to mention politically condoned drug use by Africans) is why you see a lot
of E. Africans toeing the line for races from 800 meters on up over there.
Someone did point out something interesting about the Oly Games - I'll
relay it here briefly: for all the talk about black superiority on the track,
the blacks didn't dominate the 2004 games at all. A guy broke down the
winners by racial classification, and the results were interesting - here are
some in brief:

100 meters: Negro
200 meters: Negro
400 meters: Caucasian
800 meters: Caucasian
1500 meters: Caucasian
Steeplechase: Negro
5000 meters: Caucasian
10000 meters: Negro
Marathon: Caucasian
High Jump: Caucasian
Triple Jump: Caucasian
Long Jump: Negro
Shot Put: Caucasian
Javelin: Caucasian
Hammer throw: Asian
Decathlon: Caucasian
110 Hurdles: Asian
400 Hurdles: Negro
Pole Vault: Caucasian
