I just read the incredible story about the ABA men's team firing their
female coach, who had led them to a very nice 17-7 record on the
season. The story never mentioned race, but the player she refused to
bench was obviously white, and I'm taking a wild guess that the female
singer- owner I've never heard of was an african-american. While ESPN
kindly avoids identifying her race, there are a few clues for the
astute among us. First, she used foul language and attempted to get
into a physical altercation not only with the female coach, but with a
player on her team, who I'm also guessing was white. She also made an
obscene gesture at this player. Can anyone tell me if I'm right? Also,
can anyone tell me what would have happened if, say, Al Davis had
started an altercation with Art Shell when he was coaching the Raiders,
because Shell wouldn't take the only black player on the field out of
the game? Then imagine Al shoving a black player and flipping him off.

situation?
