After five years as the starting fullback, Dan Kreider has been demoted behind Carey Davis.
The Steelers are Davis' fifth team in four years. He has tried to hook on as both a tailback and fullback. He has never playedin a regular season NFLgame. If this was a white guy who had been cut time and again one might be glad that he's finally getting a chance. But given the NFL's black skin privilege policies, especially at running back, the Steelers apparently see something in Davis that no other team has.
Kreider was a very good runner in high school and college (New Hampshire), but was used by the Steelers almost exclusively as an extra offensive lineman.
