two White athletes emerged from obscurity after the Nike Combine (March 11, 2012) in Atlanta. class of 2013 wide receiver Josh Smith of Christian Academy of Knoxville (first mentioned by Kaiser Soze in this post) has now garnered a scholarship offer from the University of Tennessee after posting an impressive SPARQ rating that ranked 12th out of 1,447 competitors.

but there was another unknown young athlete to keep an eye out for ... and he hadn't even finished his sophomore year yet.

Tyler Henderson (class of 2014) is a sophomore running back for Collins High in Suwanee, Georgia.

let's put Henderson's performance in perspective. there were 1,447 kids who ran the 40 at this Nike Combine. the fastest 40 time posted was 4.53 seconds. young Henderson ran his 40 in 4.58 seconds, good for 11th-overall (coincidentally tied with the aforementioned Smith). Henderson also posted a sparkling 4.18 shuttle and with a 32.9-inch vertical leap. his overall SPARQ rating of 96.57 was the 25th-highest at the combine.

not too bad for a 5-8, 166-pound sophomore. below is a highlight vid from his sophomore season. he's pretty slippery.

Great find. He reminds me of Tennessee's Caleb Hopkins who is a little thicker and has that same elusiveness. The guy still has no offers. Its amazing since the rise of these SPARQ combines, many white athletes dominate them and are still not recruited.

Zac Pollard looks almost like the beast Christian McCaffrey is. Other notable rb's include North Carolinas Bo Hines who is listed as a wr/rb but he already has about 6 major offers for the rb position.
Anthony Garguglio from New Jersey is a big back with top end speed. Oregon's Jake LaCoste was Gatorade player of the year as a junior and rushed for over 3,000 yards.
Collin Bailey from Texas while on the small side is getting serious early interest from a slew of home state schools.
Matt Guida from Arizona led all state rushers last year with over 3,000 and really looks like a top 20 back in a caste-free world.
I can name about 8 to 10 others that have stood out on video and I will list them when I get the time or start a 2014 rb thread maybe next week.
Also a rb already doing the unofficial visit tour is Missouri's Brock Broughton. He is very talented and he seems to think Kansas State will offer him before next August.
