Trey Smith of Douglas County, Colorado was the #2 rusher in the state headed into the playoffs, despite playing on a team that was knocked out in the first round and finished the year 5-5.

he finished his junior year with over 1,700 yards rushing and 2,200 total yards.

on the track, he finished his junior year with a personal best in the 100-meters of 10.61.

he's a young man to keep an eye on this fall.

Mister Smith is going to play running back at Clolorado State. There has been some minor chatter that he may be moved to wr but I doubt it.

In other rb news Christian McCaffrey is obviously going to Stanford solely as a running back. Another shifty good sized rb who is 100 5 staying at the position is Michigan's Trent Grimes who will be following in Sailor Lavalli's foot steps and will be playing at Central Michigan. A very underrated back in Brock Broughton has mysteriously signed on with Western Illinois so that is a downer. Power back Riley Angeline has offers from Temple , Buffalo among a few and Ian Eriksen ( who runs like Forrest Gump ) has an offer from Eastern Michigan. I'll update this in a few hours as I know there is a handful of other little known running backs that have D 1 offers.
