I'm surprised there isn't a thread decicated to Hardee who will compete for the the gold in the decathalon in London soon.

I like this guy. He's a Bama boy from Birmingham and started out as a basketball player before switching to the decathalon in high school. Went to Mississippi State then transferred to the University of Texas when MSU dropped their indoor track program.

Hardee won the 2005 NCAA decathlon championship and was third in the NCAA heptathlon final. In 2006, he set the NCAA decathlon record with a then-personal best 8,465 points and was named the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.

He's shown well at national and international meets since then, winning the Jim Thorpe All-Around Award for his achievements. He is an a former NCAA Champion and a two-time World Outdoor Champion. He placed 4th place overall at the 2008 games when his no-height score in the pole vault cost him a medal.

For me, this guy will be the main reason I will tune in to the games.

Actually Trey Hardee has been mentioned several times and did have a short thread for the 2008 Olympics. Funny how a guy who is one of the best all around athletes in the world wasn't able to get a regular gig playing football--probably didn't have the "affleticism" for it. I'm sure the DWFs that coach football are such great judges of affletic talent that they knew Trey could only be a world class decathalete--NOT an american football player.

Thanks for the reminder- I laugh at the memory of first seeing "Trey Hardee" of Birmingham Alabama - this giant fair-haired crew cutted Adonis boy next door was not what I'd expected to see at all.

I remember writing some stuff about him around his 2008 win so he has certainly been noticed - at 6'5", 210 with no excess fat it's hard to NOT notice him actually.
Great athlete and the quickest ever of white decathletes over 100m at 10.40. The total of his best performances would give him a 9100 score but that's hard to do in 2 solid days.

Yep, I'll be avidly watching everything he does too

here's the guys above Trey on the list this year. All blonde white guys with lots of height and lean muscle.
Kevin Mayer should be an interesting one to watch at only 20 years old and having an 8415 (above Hardee this year).

Pascal Behrenbruch of Germany,
Hans Van Alphen of Belgium,
Eelco Sintnicolaas of Nederlands
Kevin Mayer of France.

I noticed this guy for the first time last year in the world championships after my sister talked about him to my woman. Trey is an elite decathlete, a very good looking man, perfectly fit with a great body, who could easily be a movie star or a celebrity as well.

He's one bright man for the white kids to look up to!

Plus I must admit that the vast majority of the guys in here are really open minded and not racist at all............I wonder why in the US would ever consider such site as racist. I mean I am serious now, you guys are totally cool and not racist............It's so sad that they will condemn you as racists when all you really want is equality and a fair shot in the sports world!

White Americans are the 2012's Negro for real, not being sarcastic now!

didn't think I needed to mention him - The WR holder Eaton's a shoe-in for gold on present reckoning.

The thread is about Hardee so I looked at the boys set to challenge for those other two medals, indeed the boys he has to catch to get a medal

first off , i like eaton but he is clearly largely the product of sarms
and hopefully will be come evident in years to come

his progression in event is very suspect .

next up i am with zeus 100 per cent on some of the attitudes in this
site
that being raul and his homie this and homie that , okay now again for alittle humour
but no need for constant eubonics .
definitly reflects your mental state and take the critism
and reflect ,nae need for comebacks or oneup manship just think about it .
