Why am I posting this on the NFL board? Read on with patience and you'll find out.

A few months ago I posted a link to the506.com/yabb . Once there, you have to click "here", then you have to register to see the boards, which apparently nobody on CasteFootball but yours truly (under a different handle; it's not foreverfree, but pm me and I'll tell you what it is) has the courage to admit to doing.

There's an ongoing thread on the506 entitled "Washington Redskins Name Debate"* at http://www.the506.com/smf/index.php?topic=15308.100 . It quickly became an arguing thread about "offensive" nicknames (you know the list) has a poll asking whether the Redskins should be renamed (which was locked after 56 votes [21 yes, 35 no; I voted no, the 'Skins should keep the name]).

The real reason for calling CF'ers' attention to this is these comments from one of the moderators, an (apparent) Black with the handle rjpeagles. On page 5 of the thread, among other things he says, "[A]nybody can be Irish [apparent reference to Notre Dame] , all they have to do is be from Ireland, no matter what color they are." Really, rjpeagles?

So there it is. I'm not good at making cogent arguments and I stay out of arguing anyway, but other CF'ers are good at making points, so how about registering at the506.com/yabb and troll the PC crowd on there. Come on, don't be scared of being banned, that board is as DWF as any, especially when it comes to PC.

*I could've put this on the Redskins board but I thought it'd be more visible on the NFL board.

Like I said, register on the site I linked and troll that thread with that statement, seattlefan. I'm not good at making cogent arguments and I'm not a pot stirrer by trade, but I'm sure other CF'ers like to stir the pot with DWFs. the506 is just about the only DWF board I frequent.

I saved this post that I found on 4chan's sports board of all places which debunks this argument handily.

I have an uncle who is entirely white and is an avid collector of Native art and has a keen interest in the Native American culture.

When discussing the topic once, he pointed out to me a bow-and-arrow set, made by a Native American in the late 1800s, with a tassel on the bow carrying four beads of four different colors. They were each meant to stand for one of the peoples of the Americas. There was a black bead, a white bead, a yellow bead and a red bead. You can guess whom they were meant to represent. You see, the Natives see THEMSELVES in this way. They are the red people, and they have had pride in this probably for all of their history. They admire and look for the deep color of their skin and there's a reason why they distain the 'pale' white man's look. They literally consider themselves red-skins, similar to how the ancient Sumerians referred to themselves as 'the black-headed people.' This is, at least, the historical truth.

And the story about how "redskin was used to describe Indian scalps used as bounties in New England" is a crock and has been proven to be so. Redskin is historically no more offensive than 'Fighting Irish' or other similar names, so you will have to re-arrange all of sports if you believe there is a problem, and you will be in fact disappointing many Indians who appreciate the pedestal and honor we have bestowed on them naming the Capital team of the country's flagship sport after them.

Essentially, effeminate waif Jewish sportswriters who are perpetually jealous of goy athletes have manufactured this controversy (ironic considering that Washington's owner is Jewish). They are also envious of the fact that no one respects their tribe so much as to name a professional sports team after them.
