The mythical number(whatever that means) one High School Football team is Southlake Carroll, a predomintantly white team near Fort Worth. The QB Chase Daniel is headed to Missouri. He is big and athletic . They have a 4.4 CB Cameron Parker who I believe is headed to Div. 1 football. And they have two very fast junior wide receivers in Clint Renfro(see NFL section on his lineage) and MckayJacobson. There running back, Aaron Lunais the best athlete on the team. He is headed to Rice to play baseball. Probably third base. He runs a 4.3 forty and is strong. He has a good shot to play in the majors some day.

I wish him luck in Baseball but damn would I prefer for
him to stay at running back in college.The problem is that most white kids are not recruited to be running backs almost ever.They see their chance at a scholarship

Luna I believe was initiallylisted as an outfielder and I first heard of him a few years back in Baseball America. They praised his speed. Apparently he won a state sprinting event or something. The third base questoin is a good one since his speed would dictate another (outfield)position, which is not to belittle third basemen. Scott Rolen is not a purespeed guy but he has the great reflexes and overall athleticism that makes him the best third baseman in MLB. Luna certainly has the talent to play division one football but as far as I know his power/speed combination is something pro baseball scouts love. At the end of the day Luna has a chance to become a special baseball player but of course it is way too early to tell. I also believe baseball has always been his number one sport.

Hey guys I just moved here to Texas from Tennessee and my highschool football team is currently ranked #1 in division AAAAA. TheRiverdale Warriors. Were usually are #1 every season. I was just wondering if any of you that are familiar with Riverdale think that they are a good team for southlake to go against. I Believe they are.

What a wonderful opportunity Coach Dodge has. At North Texas he should have his pick of top white players especially his unrecruited former players that no one else wants. It will be interesting to see if he gives white kids a chance or if he chooses to recruit the darker players.
Southlake Carroll takes on Miami's Northwestern High School on ESPNU tonight in a made for TV matchup. SLC has won 49 straight games and goes for a state record 50th win. Northwestern is the defending Florida 6A Champs. They are ranked 1 & 2 in the USA Today national high school poll. SLC is almost all white starting one black RB and one black LB, Northwestern is all black.

Thanks for the info SteveB! I'll try to watch some of that one.
I jsut saw a couple of snippets from the game but one play where NW scored on a pass there was a Southlake Carroll defender gaining ground like mad on the receiver. So I noted the number(#23) and lo and behold it is Luke Anderson who ran a blistering 4.3 during the summer. Guy is NOT being recruited much at all as far as I know which is ridiculous.

I couldn't believe the score when I seen it. I had seen both teams on TV before this game. I thought Southlake would have won because of the turnovers. And they should have won. Taking nothing away from NW, the kids came off a flight, played under a few different rules, and went to Texas and won fair and square (though a bit rough). However, the Carroll kids deserve alot of credit. After 5 TO's, they could have rolled over and given but they didn't and almost came back to win. NW sat on the ball for the last 1 1/2 quarter. Also know that the score was alot closer than even it indicates. And the Miami NWern guys had a few TO's too. Southlake Carroll has some great players. So although Carroll lost, rest assured they played a hell of a game.

Jimmy Chitwood is watching it and giving me updates. The only black skill player is Southlake's RB, who strangely? is the only one getting big time offers.

this whole game (between SLC and Grapevine) is filled with white speed at the skill positions, yet Tre Newton is the one repeatedly called "explosive."
it is readily apparent that he is not anywhere close to the fastest guy, even on his own team, yet somehow the white speedsters have managed to play an entire half without receiving a single compliment for "talent" or "speed" or "athleticism."

Riley Dodge is a monster. RB Newton was out for the first round playoff game, so Dodge had to do it all to win, and he did. He passed for 356 yds and 2 TDs, no surprise there, but he rushed 30 times for 203 yds and 3 TDs. Dodge single handily kept SLC from getting upset in the first round of the playoffs, winning 35-24.
