Roger is a really talented junior WR from the Houston area who is getting some looks from some big Div.1 schools. He is 5-11, 178 lbs, ran a 4.38 40 yd at the Texas A&M camp and has a 37 inch vertical. Right now A&M and Notre Dame are leading the recruiting race. Since he plays on a run happy team, his junior year receiving stats weren't overly impressive, 41 rec, 620 yds, and 6 TDs, but he has the physical skills. Good luck to him for a great senior year.

I like the way Weiss recruits so far. If you go through the list of 2007 prospects, all the top white prospects seem to have Notre Dame as one of the possible choices.. so even if they don't end up landing this players, there is an effort there to get them.

I'm not surprised that Weiss is doing this. Weiss last year signed Ohio h.s. white CB Kyle McCarthy. He wants not only the best atheletes around but the brightest among them as well.

Roger verbally committed to Texas A&M where his dad played football in the 1970's. He is also having a good senior season ranking in the top 10 in SE Texas in receiving. He will be playing in the Army All American Bowl after the season is over. Way to go Roger!!!
