Never would have dreamed of starting a topic for Offensive Tackles; however after witnessing the NFL Draft...It was disturbing to see that only 4 white tackles were selected out of 19...yet 3....Solder, Costanzo & Carimi were selected in the 1st Round.

Don't have the exact numberw/ demographicsof the Tackles in the NFL is it 40/60% or 45/55%??(projected starters or 53 man roster)...the trend over the years seems to be gradually (not counting Class of 11') becoming less white of a position...yet arguably the best in the NFL today are Jake Long, Joe Thomas & Jordan Gross....Michael Roos is emerging as a Top Flight Tackle...Andrew Whitworth is the most under-rated tackle in th NFL IMO! Matt Light is impressive!

The 2012 HS Class of Tackles looks promising...it should be interesting to see how these future studs progress over the next four years(or 5 w/ redshirt) Rivals Top30 has 16 white 12 black & 2 Islander/Samoan

"Patrick Miller 6'-7" 260 offers Wisconsin, Auburn, So. Carolina, Florida, Miami..."

ESPN is showing his Florida team play right now, and he's BIG! For such a tall lineman, his upper-body is well put together. They mentioned him being interested in Auburn and LSU the most.

--Jake Meador looks aboriginal and Jonah Pirsig mysterious (to me), but your list is a great start to OL recruiting! Several man-children like Trey Keenan, Bisnowaty, Mark Harrell, O'Connor, Shane Callahan and Chris Muller!

--Kyle Kalis switched his verbal to Michigan.

I will add several OTs to this thread in my next post.

Offensive skill players from small schools always get overlooked (if they're white). However, that' s usually not the case with the Big Boysâ„¢. If you're a mountain of a man, coaches don't really care where you played high school football. Massive bodies just aren't common enough to be picky. Unfortunately, one particular exception is the state of Arkansas. Every year there are scores of very large linemen who should get attention from D1A schools. But the prejudice against small school football players still remains in Arkansas, regardless of talent or physical characteristics. Here are a handful of linemen that all play for small schools within an hour of me. All of them have been ignored

6'9" 300lbs, Dillon Cagle, OL Hoxie
6'6" 320lbs, Dylan Warner, OL Pocahontas
6'6" 300lbs, Matthew Mays, OL Cross County
6'5" 300lbs, Blake Mallory, OL Cross COunty
6'4" 325lbs, Clay May, DT EPC (players swap sides routinely in college)
6'4" 315lbs, Dillon Madden, OL Valley View
6'3" 305lbs, Mike Nash, OL EPC

The home state Razorbacks don't want these guys (considering how soft they are on the line this season, they could use some serious help). And they haven't managed to get attention from other schools.
(EPC = East Poinsett County)

I hate the fact the talented white tackles go to schools that have all black skill position players, because all that does is build up the black players stats and doesn't help promote the white players in any way.
