The Players Championship 2012: Gallery Chanting, Singing 'Goodbye' To Kevin Na

Entering today’s final round of The Players Championship as the leader, American Kevin Na is having a rough go of it today, and the tournament’s gallery is letting him have it.​

While golf is a sport that strongly discourages chanting, jabbing and just about everything you see at other sporting events, a few “unrulyâ€￾ members of the gallery have been chanting “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbyeâ€￾ -- the 1969 hit from the band Steam -- as Na folds on the back nine of the TPC Sawgrass.
The chants were picked up clearly after Na drenched his ball on the par-3 13th hole, which resulted in his sixth bogey of the day.
Na currently is +4 on the day and five shots off the lead.
Na has drawn the ire of fans, golfers, and tournament officials alike this weekend with his brutally slow play. He's yet to be penalized, but there's plenty of animosity being generated towards him.
Na says he's fully aware that it frustrates people, but has done little to remedy the mental block that has him waggling his club and elongating his pre-shot routine.
Because golf fans seem to root for stories rather than personalities or talent, it’s rare to see a true villan develop during a tournament.
But Kevin Na is a villain in Ponte Vedra, Florida this weekend, and the gallery is not afraid to show it.

I watched a lot of the tournament yesterday and all of it today, and the article wildly overstates anything I noticed. I only heard Na heckled one time, and that was by just a couple of fans. That hardly qualifies him as a "villain" or "the tournament’s gallery letting him have it." Unless NBC was deliberately covering it up for some reason, the writer is engaging in yellow journalism. [pun not intended]

The media paid a lot of attention to Na's waggles and hesitations, but he was mostly treated quite well by all concerned. It certainly paled in comparison to the heckling Sergio Garcia got at the 2002 U.S. Open at Bethpage outside New York City when he was waggling like crazy and was heckled like crazy in return (to the point that Sergio unwisely gave the crowd the finger).

Congrats to Matt Kuchar, who won The Players today after Na and Fowler wilted, and then held off a slew of late chargers. Kuchar's kind of a poor man's Phil Mickelson, very appreciative of the crowds and with an All-American boy type personality.

Second, it usually means that after the victory, said golfer is joined on the 18th with this White wife/children (as it happened today with Kuchar) and together they celebrate, much to the dismay of the multiculturalist vermin on the various networks that carry the tournament.

May this nightmare scenario for them continue for years to come.

That's why when you watch golf tournaments, there's always a bombardment of commercials for organizations like "The First Tee" that show in overwhelming numbers non-Whites and White females, but nary a White male. And even though not one of the top 1,000 male and female golfers in the world is black other than 1/4 black Tiger, Cultural Marxism dictates that a disproportionate number of golf anchors and reporters must be black. The same holds true in hockey and tennis: lots of blacks in commercials and on the sets of the networks.

Multiculturalism permits no deviations, ever, from the same basic absurd, apparently LSD-inspired script that different races and ethnic groups naturally, effortlessly and gladly socialize and mate with each other and that blacks are exceptionally virtuous and deservedly over represented in every positive way possible, except for "unfortunate" scenes that can't be controlled like Whites winning most team and individual events in sports and celebrating with their almost always all-White families.
